Makoto Driving The Porsche 930 Turbo

The series of panning shots I have of the 930 Turbo on the move are simply awesome, most definitely one of my favourite panning shoots to date, if you were to meet my colleague Makoto who's driving you could still see the massive smile when we talk about that day.

Here you can see Makoto behind the wheel while I've taken over the passenger seat in Ron's Carerra which we used as the camera car for these rolling shots.

Score Bay, Isle of Skye

Score Bay, Isle of Skye, originally uploaded by www.bazpics.com.

With us having our holiday in May booked on the Isle of Skye, this time with my mum and Mireille's mum and dad it's got me planning the daily adventures we're going to get up to.

As you can imagine it's got me looking through the images we've taken around the island in the last few years to finalise the plans.

Loch Ahmastar Reflections

You all know what it's like - outside is cold, wet, windy - lets just use the word "horrible".

It's times like this that get you thinking about warmer times, in my case today it took me back to the Isle of Lewis one of the islands which makes up Scotlands Outer Hebrides where Mireille and myself spent our summer holiday last year.

I revisited the folder of images from Lewis and decided to re-process a few of them for fun - this capture of the sky and clouds reflections on the almost mirror-like surface of Loch Ahmastar.

Little Highland Frog

Little Highland Frog, originally uploaded by www.bazpics.com.

This little guy would have happily gone about his daily business without ever being photographed had he not moved while I was lining up a shot somewhere near Gascarnoch Dam in Scotland on our way towards Ullapool after leaving the Isle of Skye.

Shot is straight from cam with only a 50% crop used to give him a little more of the frame than the original uncropped image would have.

This was at full zoom of the R1 and with this little guy only being around 2cm in length I was actually amazed to get such a clear shot of him.
